The reality of AI for business is boring.

The reality of #AI for business is rather boring.

Let me explain.

Sure, AI is remarkable and can help humans supercharge our potential, radically transforming the way we work.

But in reality, when we sit down in boardrooms discussing the practical applications. We're talking about the most boring processes and tasks that people hate doing.

They create fatigue, reduce job satisfaction and generally slow business down. The impact of solving these problems might seem small and insignificant though. They're not big problems to solve.

But when you add them up. They could save your people a few hours a week, 10-20 hours a month and that amounts to a shift in focus, a redistribution of skills to higher value, business changing work.

Doing the needs analysis is one thing. Deploying the AI powered tools and tech is easy enough too.

Changing the behaviours of workers to do a task differently or migrate to other tasks is challenging.

As with any new technological change, it’s the human element that’s the most difficult.
